(Please note that, yes, this means spoilers!)

To start the game, enter the 7 letters from the current puzzle in any order. Remember to capitalize the letter in the center to ensure it appears in every answer.
The remaining letters should be entered in lower case.

You may input over 7 letters if there are precisely 7 distinct letters. Non-alphabetic characters and spaces will not be considered. If there are multiple uppercase letters, they will be disregarded.

You can personalize the output of the get hints button by selecting the checkboxes mentioned below.

HIDE SOLUTION SET

By marking this box, you can avoid displaying answers to the puzzle along with your hints.

HIDE LETTER DISTRIBUTIONS

Marking this box will stop the display of letter distribution tables for the given puzzle.

HIDE BUBBLE CHART

Marking this box will stop the display of Bubble Chart for the given puzzle.

SHOW 2-LETTER TALLY

By selecting this box, a breakdown of answers from the given puzzle by the first two letters will be added.

SHOW COMPOUND DISTRIBUTION

By marking this box, you can include a letter distribution table for compound words, if there are any in the given puzzle.
Furthermore, compound words will be identified when the solution set is shown.

(Note that this option is available only for actual current and past puzzles, not for all sets of letters.)

SHOW PLURAL DISTRIBUTION

Selecting this box will include a letter distribution table for plural nouns, if they exist in the given puzzle.
Also, plural nouns will be highlighted when the solution set is shown.

(Note that this option is available only for actual current and past puzzles, not for all sets of letters.)

SHOW DEBUT STATS

By checking this box, a count of the number of words in the given puzzle that are appearing in Spelling Bee for the first time will be added.
It will also indicate if any of these words were previously disallowed or are currently being disallowed or reallowed for the first time.

Additionally, when the solution set is displayed, these entries will be marked in the word list to identify them as such.

(Note that this option is available only for actual current and past puzzles, not for all sets of letters.)

SHOW DISALLOWED MATCHES

If you mark this box, all words from our database that match the given set of letters will be included, even those that are not known to be accepted in Spelling Bee or are presumed acceptable.
This also includes words that have been disallowed from the puzzle.

(Note that this option greatly expands the solution set and is therefore not useful for help in solving the daily online puzzle.)

HIDE 4 LETTER WORDS

The weekly print version of Spelling Bee only allows words that are at least 5 letters long.
If you select this box, four-letter words will be excluded from the results, making it more beneficial in providing hints for that puzzle.

(Note that this option greatly restricts the solution set and is therefore not useful for help in solving the daily online puzzle.)

DISABLE WORD LINKS

Normally, the words listed in the solution set link to pages that show all the past puzzles in which they have appeared.
If you mark this box, those links will be disabled.

This is useful for players who prefer to long-press those words on a smartphone or tablet to bring up definitions.

(Note that this option is available only when the solution set is displayed.)

Press this button to remove the checkmarks from all checkboxes.
